Assisted Cancellation Support: When Humans Handle Voluntary Exit
Not every subscriber should fight a chatbot to leave. High-MRR accounts, multi-seat teams, and contract quirks sometimes need a human — but assisted cancel must stay as transparent as self-serve: clear outcomes, logged reasons, and no pressure tactics.
Self-serve entry points: cancel subscription entry points. High-value routing: high-value customer cancellation flow.

One principle
Assisted cancel should produce the same structured reason and outcome data as in-app cancel. Support is a channel, not an excuse to skip measurement — see cancellation reason reporting.
Default to self-serve
Prosumer and standard monthly plans should still have a visible in-app cancel path. Assisted paths complement segmentation — cancellation flow segmentation — not replace it.
Self-serve cancel with full logging
ChurnIntel captures reasons and offer outcomes when customers cancel in-app.
