SaaS Customer Offboarding: A Voluntary Exit Checklist
Offboarding is everything that happens when a paying customer chooses to leave: exporting their work, understanding the last charge, confirming the cancel, and losing access on the right timeline. It is not an HR exit interview and not failed-payment dunning.
This pillar maps the voluntary exit path for subscription SaaS. Flow structure and anti-dark-pattern UX live in cancellation flow examples. Stripe cancel timing: scheduled cancellation timing.

Trust on the way out
Customers who leave cleanly may return or refer others. Hiding export, obscuring final charges, or trapping seats erodes trust. When save offers are inappropriate, see when to skip retention offers.
